I was pretty unsure of my case against him as the Day progressed. The case got almost no traction and I was afraid I was guilty of picking a target and viewing all their posts in a scum light (which I've done before with poor results). To see if it was just me or if he really was acting scummily I decided not to point out his lie to see if anyone else was even reading along - no-one did! I finally mentioned it in #274, after his crazy vote. In the end, he got himself lynched for his skimming, not for any case made against him.
The lesson for me is to keep those early pings to myself and not to attempt to make proper cases on Day 1...
How about toNight? Do you want to kill or protect?

I am, as usual, clueless about who to kill.
A lot of choices of who to protect. You again, one of the masons, Metallic, our alleged roleblocker?

I am guessing that there is probably another protector role out there somewhere who will be protecting either BillMc or Metallic. Since Mahaloth was the scum roleblocker and there has been no counterclaim to Metallicsquink's roleblocker claim, it looks legitimate for the time being.
I am a little concerned about what happens if one of us dies, bufftabby very coyly did not answer that question when you asked it on night zero. It's definitely possible that if one of us dies, the other becomes vanilla, or is killed also. So until you have a good idea of who to start killing, it might be good for me to continue protecting you?

Bufftabby, are the witches powers (kill/protect) dependent upon both witches being alive or, if one is killed, can the other perform the action?
Day One pleo(5): crazy[103-207], maha[104- 236], metallic[165], cookies[169], brewha[213], peeker[216], rysto[238]
rysto(4): hockey[164], cias[176], inner[221], charr[230]
maha(3): guiri[113], mhaye[225], sister[240]
ed(2): renata[200], texcat[224]
paranoia(1): peeker[143-216], ed[199-227], naf1138[202]
suburban(1): pleo[17], rysto[142-238]
naf(1): suburban[133]
texcat(1): ed[227]
charr(1): maha[236]
sister(0): brewha[212-213]
cias(0): guiri[94-113]
story(0): peeker[93-143]
Vote Count maha(5): guiri[109], texcat[248], sister[266], blockey[300], bill[301]
hockey(4): renata[160], total[256], bill[264-301], maha[270], crazy[276]
story(3): peeker[115], cias[124], ed[242], maha[269-270]
paranoia(2): naf[23], suburban[100], metallic[108-199]
metallic(2): total[176-223], special[188-242], brewha[194], rysto[286]
rysto(1): hockey[101]
cias(1): cookies[169]
naf(1): paranoia[177]
Brewha(1): metallic[199]
total(0) : texcat[16-185]
Cookies(0): crazy[244-255]
charr(0): blockey[27-140], billmc[31-264], maha[178-269]
We have the following confirmed Town: III. bill - Town Mason VI. peeker - Town Mason VIII. texcat - Town Witch XVII. guiri - Town Witch
Mahaloth's lynch has given us quite a lot of information. I'm strongly leaning Town on: - Hockey, since Maha pushed her into the lead to be lynched - Blockey since he pushed Maha into second place, just 1 vote behind Hockey - Sister since she voted him twice
Leaning Town to a lesser extent since there's a possibility of bussing and/or distancing: - Story, since Maha temporarily pushed him into the lead but then quickly unvoted - Charr, since Maha voted him two Days in a row - albeit a last minute vote on Day 1 and an early vote on Day 2 which he abandoned when others had unvoted Charr
So, the likely Town includes (ignoring the possibility of Mahaloth bussing for the moment): IV. sister - voted maha twice VII. hockey - voted by maha XII. storyteller - voted by maha XX. blockey - voted maha XXIII. char - voted by maha XXV. metallic squink - claimed Town rb
And that leaves the following 12 unknown: I. total II. cookies IX. paranoia X. suburban XI. renata XIII. Inner XVI. naf1138 XVIII. brewha XXI. crazypunker XXII. catinasuit XXIV. rysto XXVI. special ed
Assuming another 4-5 scum remaining, we'd have a 33-42% chance of hitting non-Town in that pool of 12. I'm suspicious of a group of them but not enough to risk killing a participating townie...
If there's a Doc out there, I suspect s/he'll look after Bill. So we can choose between metallic, peeker and me! Hmm.

If we get no answer from bufftabby, or the answer is that we lose or powers or our lives if one of us dies, I think I should protect you again.
If, on the odd chance, that bufftabby responds that the one surviving witch would retain their powers and life, then I think we should protect peeker. If I were scum, I'd either go after peeker or I'd look into the unknown pool where I think you would probably stand out as a good possibility. I would not go after BillMc or Metallic because I'd think I'd only have a 50-50 shot at being successful.

OK, sounds like a plan.

The only requirement is that actions are unanimous. If only one of you is alive, unanimity seems like it would be easy to achieve.

@ TexCat, let's protect peeker then.

gulp. OK and I'll do it again. These are words I never thought I'd utter: Texcat shields peeker.

gulp. OK and I'll do it again. These are words I never thought I'd utter: Ha! I had the exact same thoughts and I hope we've out-wifom'd the scum - "Town would never protect Peeker!". If not, and I turn up dead, remember my suspicious of NAF and, whatever you do, don't trust Renata. I'm neutral about Ed - his play is quite erratic but I think he really may be tweaking his playstyle. I'm leaning town on paranoia, suburban, brewha and rysto. Watch Inner too, he's good as scum.
