I'm happy with that.
I apologise for misreading how Ulla's power works, but it will probably make life easier for us if we can spot other town power roles.
Whether I have any time to play is another matter of course.

Good to know. Thanks CIAS.
I really do think that SP is ripe for a case to be made against him. But I will stop pushing it if none of you see the possibility. I really don't think I can be the one to make that case, at least not for a Day or two. I was going to make him my scum-buddy instead and try to take him down if I go down.
We do need another solid case presented rather quickly though. I got one in on Paranoia that I think is fairly good in terms of getting people talking.
I am going to ramp up my pushiness in game a bit so I want to apologize in advance if that spills over into here. Feel free to tell me to knock it off. I am very aware that many of my ideas are not always good, but I am going to do a lot of throwing things at the wall in here in case one of my bad ideas sparks a good idea in someone else.
Lastly TL, you know I love you. Ignore the mean things I said about signing up for games that you don't have time to play. I'm just trying to protect you a bit, and Pleo's lynch gives you good cover.

I don't have one in particular yet, but I could start working one up. I would use Rysto's case as a springboard and go through his posts from there. He has been pinging me as scummy, but I haven't really bothered to lay out why.
Give me some time and I will.

Post by naf1138 on Dec 7, 2010 13:41:33 GMT -6
So like I said, I would start here: D'oh! I posted this to the Night Zero thread first. Sorry, all: I'm going to Vote Suburban Plankton. It's due to a series of little things that don't mean a heck of a lot on their own, but taken together point towards a scum POV in my opinion. On a game related note...I think this statementis assuming facts not in evidence. Unless Pleonast knows something the rest of us don't? But he's claiming vanilla, so by definition he knows nothing. Unless he does. Isn't this fun? Pleonast has discussed this one already, but I approach it from a different angle. This is a smudge, pure and simple. It's also a big reach: it is not at all unreasonable to assume that the scum will get to kill on a Night 0 that allows night actions. I don't like that Suburban went out of his way here to smudge another player for making a perfectly reasonable assumption. I pointed this one out already, but just to be explicit about it: my experience is that killers will often feel bad about killing another player, especially over a Night Zero kill that meant that the victim didn't get to participate at all. I'm considering casting a vote for Pleonast, the reasoning being this: I have no read on who's Scum, so any lynch vote at this point is a shot in the dark. Since Pleo has claimed Vanilla, (and has not claimed Town) he's a 'safe' target in as far as it minimizes the risk to the Town. I'd rather lose a Vanilla Townie at this point than a second Town Power. And there's always the chance that he's Vanilla Scum, and just forgot to mention that second part. I also have to admit that the fact that his 'early claim' strategy bugs me, and that he cast an early vote on me for a crappy reason, do color my opinion of him. But I would like something more concrete to base a vote on. This is the one that set off alarm bells in my head. Suburban has just finished saying that he doesn't find Pleonast scummy, and now he's trying to set himself up with a nice, plausibly deniable reason for keeping the Pleonast train running. I acknowledge that fact that he ended up not following this up with a vote, but I really really really don't like the fact that Suburban was even leaning towards continuing our first bandwagon with a vote with no reasoning behind it. Picking up some of the things that Rysto said that seemed reasonable to me. Crediting him where appropriate, making it sound like it was my idea where I could. That was post 142 on Day 1. I also, personally think his vote on me was lacking substance and might even throw a little dirt on Renata for thinking that it was a good vote (a statement that sort of came as a non sequitor in that post Ren, be careful with that sort of thing). I don't worry that she is going to get lynched and it's not a bad idea to show that you are suspicious of multiple people. More in a bit.

The brewha kerfuffle is interesting. My knee-jerk is to go after squink or preferably hockeymonkey (as second to call it up) for calling out not-PIS, except brewha's statement really does read as plausibly PIS-y. I think if town I would consider all three of them mildly suspect. But if anything can be dug up from posts the previous day on any of them, that interaction could be used to bolster it. With luck it could even get things going on more than one of them.

Also, Renata brings up a good point about Guiri not doing anything. He is more than likely vanilla, which means he will be a good lynch candidate if we can get a case worked up against him.
I don't see one right yet, but it doesn't mean it isn't there.

I believe it too. I also am willing to believe that they are the last two.
I was actually sort of hoping they wouldn't claim. This is the first time I have ever had masons claim when I ask them to.

Ok, I'm going to back off posting for a while and see if we can't let a little bit of silence creep into the game.
If would be nice if we could get a bit of a case made against anyone else. I don't want to push the paranoia thing too hard yet. I think we can get him lynched by the end of the Day, but it's probably best if we let that one mellow until the final 48 hours or so and see if it picks up any steam on its own.
